I have a quick question regarding Shopify & Klaviyo flow.

I have create a flow on Klaviyo for abandoned cart. But, Shopify is still sending the Shopify’s automatic “abandonned cart” notification !

I guess i will have some problem for all automatic mail from shopify ( confirmation of order etc).

How can i solve this issue ?

Hi @magalivegas this is the documentation about the native abandoned card notification. I think it can be disabled from the following menu: Settings > Checkout > Abandoned checkout emails where there is a disabling flag.

Heyo @magalivegas To fix this issues , disable Shopify’s abandoned checkout email in settings = notifications and let Klaviyo handle the flow. so should keep transactional emails like order and shipping confirmations in Shopify unless you want to rebuild them in Klaviyo too.

That’s happening because both Shopify and Klaviyo are trying to send the abandoned cart email at the same time. If you want Klaviyo to handle it, just turn off Shopify’s version. You’ll find it in Settings → Checkout → Abandoned checkouts — there’s a checkbox to disable the automatic email.

Don’t worry, Shopify will still send the order confirmations and shipping notifications (those can’t be replaced by Klaviyo). For the rest, abandoned cart, browse abandonment, winbacks, it’s better to let Klaviyo handle them.

After you switch it off, run a quick test by abandoning a cart yourself and check that only the Klaviyo flow goes out. That usually clears up the duplication issue.
