How can I let customers place an order from cart without having to checkout?

I am using my store to place orders only and not to collect any payment. For that reason, I do not need my customers to checkout.

I have tried to remove the Billing address but found that it was not possible.

Is there a way to have the order placed and received directly from the cart without checkout?

There is no native system for this for non enterprise stores.*

The closest is using the draft orders system to make draft orders using an app or middleware using the admin api

The mechanic app can do this almost out of the box for simple scenaros https://tasks.mechanic.dev/create-a-draft-order-from-the-cart

Though the reality may different in how much info you need to collect so you may need to customize both the theme and automation scripts.
