New to Shopify here is my issue. I sell limited editions of certain designs and I need to know how I am to create a product so I dont exceed the amount I am selling.
Exp. I have 1-design… I can put on 9 items (all 9 are different + variants) so the total variants on the shopify products page is way more than 9. How can I set the limit to 9 being sold and once I am out Im out.

Great question! There is an app that will allow you to accomplish this. Essentially it will allow you to connect your inventory of different variants to share a specific inventory number.
For example, let’s say you sell a shirt and have 20 of them. It doesn’t matter if the customer selects red, blue, green, etc. Once 20 of those shirts have been sold, it needs to be sold out. An app such as connected inventory is going to give you this level of functionality for managing your inventory correctly.

To set custom options on your Shopify store as below steps:
Add global attributes to product
Go to: Products > Add Product (or edit an existing one).
Select the Attributes tab in the Product Data. There you can choose any of the attributes that you’ve created in the dropdown menu.
Select Add.
