How can I link my subdomain to the shop section on my website?

Hi

I have a domain and website with shopify. I offer different services but also have a “shop” link on my navigation currently linked to a collection in my store.

HELP:

I want my customers to be able to navigate around my shop seamlessly without seeing the other parts of my website/services when they click “shop” unless they click the “Home”

So I want when they click on “shop” they can move around the shop only.

I created a subdomain (shop.mydomain.com) how do I link this to the “shop” in my navigation so I have a separate shop section?

Hi @giddywil ,

Thank you for your post. Can you tell me why you are looking to stop customers from being able to visit the rest of your site when they are browsing your products?

If you have a subdomain on a store as well as a primary domain, both of these will redirect to your main site. It isn’t possible to have them pointing to different parts of the same Shopify storefront. It is possible to split them between your Shopify store and another third-party website, however, if that’s something you were interested in doing. As an example, you could have “website.com” assigned to your third-party blog, with “shop.website.com” pointing towards your Shopify storefront.

Thanks @Victor_5 You have answered my question.

For context, incase someone else find this post

I want to split my site because I sell products and also offer services.

My services are accessed via Lead Capture forms and I wanted these to be separate from my shop.

I also wanted my customers to be able to browse different collections and products without being redirected to the services part of my website unless that’s their intention.

Thanks!
