How can I locate a hidden word on my default page?

Hi…

This one has got me and i cant find it and wondered if any of you knowledgeable peeps can help me out.

I have one word on a default page that is not there on the editor and when looking to inspect it in the theme code cannot find it.

On this page :

Password TestStore123!

Just below the breadcrumb i have a single word misspelt : tesst

I wondered if you can help me find it?

Thanks in advance again!..

Hi, @e-lik

I understand you are seeing a word that should not have been there on your breadcrumb trail. For now, however, I cannot see what you are referring to, even with a search. Can you please provide a screenshot of where this should be?

It was in the thread when I posted it?

Hi @e-lik ,

I’m having a look at your page here and cannot see the “test” that you showed in your screenshot, but this may be because you made the background black.

Did you resolve the issue? Or identify where the misspelled word was coming from? If you did not, could you include in your answer what theme you’re using, for context?

Meanwhile, I can see that you’ve done a great job on your site. It looks pretty slick! I’ve noticed though that, aside from a very brief intro on your homepage, you haven’t really dedicated any space to properly telling visitors and the world about your brand:

I cannot stress enough to you how important a decent About Us page is. It’s what gives you the opportunity to tell the world what separates you from your competitors, to draw them into your story, to make them feel a part of your journey. Here is a guide on How To Write An About Us Page, Plus 21 Examples (2022) that I think you should check out.

It’s great that you have loyalty and rewards plans in place too, but how are you telling the world about these? If you have social media accounts (and you really really should) I’d recommend linking your social profiles to your store footer:

And while you’re at it, think about your content strategy: are you going to post regularly on social media? What are you going to share? Will you run a blog on your store? Do you use TikTok?

I’d love to know more if you want to discuss it all with me!
