Main issue: A user created a Shopify store (received welcome and bank messages, linked bank) but can’t locate the store now. Attempting to create a new account shows the website is already taken by an existing Shopify account. They’re concerned about unintended charges.
If the store or login email is unknown, use Shopify’s “Forgot Your Store” tool to enter possible email addresses and receive an email listing all store URLs associated with each address. Repeat for every email you own.
If the correct email is known but the password is forgotten, follow the password reset instructions.
Clarifications requested: A responder asks the user to specify what “can’t find the account” means and whether they may have forgotten the email used.
Status/outcome: No confirmation that access was regained. The concern about charges hasn’t been directly addressed; the discussion remains open pending the user’s follow-up.
hello, I created a new account, got the email welcoming the store, got a message from my bank, linked my account to the web site, i enrolled my shopify account to my bank account, and now I cant find it. when I try to create a new account it says the web site is taken by a shopify account. Can you clarify what you mean when you say you can’t find your Shopify account? Have you perhaps forgotten which email address you’ve used to login to your store?
If that’s the case, you can use this Forgot Your Store tool and proceed to enter your email address within the box provided. After you click the Email store details button, the system will send an email to the email address you’ve inputted with the URLs of any Shopify stores that are associated with that email address. If you have more than one email address, you can repeat the process multiple times for each of your email addresses until you locate the correct one.
If you’ve managed to find the correct email address for the store, but have forgotten your password, you can use the instructions listed in this help guide to reset your password.
Let me know if I’m misunderstanding your situation.
