How can I make a dropdown box a required field on a products page?

Hi, please help:

  1. I am creating personalised options on the ‘products’ page and have 2 options for customers to fill out: Choose your font and Personalised name. With both options, there is no physical black box that has appeared although I have correctly coded, so what do i need to do to get the black box to appear?

  2. With ‘choose your font’, I have coded so that it is a select drop down box but how do I get this to be a required field?

It doesn’t seem to work. It creates a separate box but doesn’t make the field required. Are you able to see my code? or can you not see this? I am wondering whether something is missing from my code.

Also, how do i get the box to appear?
