How can I make an image taller on mobile for a recipe collection?

I am making a collection of recipes and using basically the code already in our site. However, for this recipe section. I’d like the mobile version to look better. Right now, on mobile, the copy/text block is covering the image nearly 85%. Is there a way to make the image taller on mobile only?

Ideally if you rolled over each block the image could fill the full page. But that may be code beyond my ability. If any one does know how to do that, chime in!!!
