How can I make BoGo function work on the most expensive product?

By default the BoGo Discount function picks the least expensive product as the free one. I need to be able to configure the BoGo Discount to mark the more expensive qualifying product as the one that’s free.

How can this be done?

Hi @7over

Are you configuring Shopify’s default BOGO function? You can browse products and select any (even the more expensive) to offer it as a free gift.

Hi @AvadaCommerce ,

Thank you for taking the time to respond!

Yes, I am using Shopify’s default BOGO function. What I have setup is Buy One from our Pure Coffee Collection and Get One (customer choice) from the same collection for free. On the face of it, that works just fine. The issue is that Shopify automatically marks the less expensive product as the free one. eg.

Coffee A costs $15

Coffee B costs $20

(there are 10 coffees to choose from, the customer can choose any two coffees)

In the cart, Shopify automatically charges the customer $20 for Coffee B, and gives Coffee A for free.

What I want is for Shopify to charge the customer $15 for Coffee A and give the $20 Coffee B to the customer for free. Again, the customer can choose any 2 coffees from the collection…I’m not forcing them to choose any specific coffee.

Shopify automatically discounts only the least expensive coffee in the cart. I cannot find a setting to change this behavior.

Hi @7over , using our Automatic Discounts & Gifts app, you can achieve a BOGO on the most expensive item in cart.
