I have a multi column on my homepage where I need to make the photos clickable.I am using the Studio theme. I need the clickable links to work on a desktop and mobile device.

You have to add anchor tag before img tag. If you have no coding knowledge then you have to hire a Shopify expert. You can contact us below details if you want.

This fixed the image being clickable, but it created another issue. The images are now distorted and not retained inside their boxes. I have looked at the code side by side and there is zero differences other than those changes. What about that anchor tag is causing this?

In most cases, the anchor tag should not affect to break the container (image box). However, in case you are not using the anchor tag for the image, you may use the code above. If there are any other things affect the layout, I have to access to your theme file.
