How can I make OCI product data from provider readable by Shopify?

Hello esteemed Shopify Community

Unfortunately we encountered some problems with the integration of pCon.ui_shops (a 3d configurator from Eastern Graphics). The integration is based on an iFrame, which leads to a cloud system of pCon, where the manufacturer data and 3d models are stored. The integration of the iFrame has worked so far. Unfortunately, however, the connection to the Shopify store system is difficult. The iFrame offers a separate “add to cart” button. A HookURL is then used to send OCI data of the product configured by the customer and added to the shopping cart.
My question now is how do I make Shopify recognize this OCI data and get the configured product into the cart?
Do I need to create a custom API and APP so that Shopify can recognize and convert the data?
