How can I manage consistent stock levels across different product variations?

Hello,

I would like to know if there is a way to add a variable to a product that has a constant stock level equal across all sizes/colours.

For example, being able to control the quantity of a particular coloured shoelace that can be added onto different coloured shoes. Each set of coloured shoe laces has its own stock level and must come with a pair of shoes. Even if the Shoe laces are their own product and you cannot purchase shoes without purchasing an attatched pair of shoelaces.

My usage is actually requiring to have sizes and colours but then a third variable of a number of which has to be locked out once a customer chooses it. I planned on setting this up by having the size and colour one product and then a customer would have to get a ‘number’ also of which would be its own product but both need to be set as so they cannot be purchased individually.
