When I go to my clothing page and update the collection it also changes my kit page to the same collection instead of having two different ones. anyone got any solution to this?

When you are updating your collection, are you updating it through the theme editor or from within the collection details?
If you are editing it in the theme editor, then you are actually editing the default template for all collections on your store. Don’t worry, you can make separate collection templates really easily so you don’t need to lose the customizations you’ve made.
In the drop down menu at the top of the theme editor go to Collections and select the option to create a new template. You can make each page/collection/product even more unique by altering the base template for it.
