How can I manage which collections appear in the Dawn theme list?

Is there a way to control which collections are displayed on the collection list with Dawn? I have a lot of sub collections that do not need to be on the list and want to simplify it.

I am looking for an answer to this also. I only want the Parent Collections to show on the Collections list page but instead it is showing all collections.
