I have now tried about 30 apps that looked like they could help me achieve my goal, but unfortunately all of them were unsuitable.
Scenario A
I want to sell several sub-products as a kind of option on one main product (e.g. USB device). The customer can then, for example, also order a USB power supply. These are manually created bundles.
Scenario B
I have several products that I would like to bundle into a new product. He puts “X” in the shopping cart and actually “A” and “B” are ordered. Since new product X has its own price which is cheaper than if he would have bought A and B.
Often you may actually need two generalized apps one to create or manage the bundling and present it on the frontend, and another app to sync/reconcile inventory.
If your on Shopify Plus you can use a combination of checkout-scripts to manage the pricing discounts and something like an order form customization
There’s also more in depth automation apps like usemechanic to build your own process from business logic , though you may also need theme customizations to match.
Merchants that need custom bundling solutions can contact me at paull.newton+shopifyforums@gmail.com with store url& storefront password, use case details, and budget.
I am currently building the first store with Shopify. My requirement is basically to make it easy for the customer to easily find matching products to the current main product.
In the end, a set consists of individual products.
