How can I merge three online stores into one main store?

Hello, I do have three active, Shopify managed stores with ‘overlapping’ products. Maintenance and marketing for three stores, does not make any sense… I started a new ‘main’ store which will represent all products from the three existing. Two Q:

  1. How to ‘point’ or forward the three other stores to the ‘main’ store?

  2. Would it be possible to point or forward them directly to e specific page or collection?

This is done with your domain registration provider, not in Shopify. Most providers allow you to set up an auto-forward from your domain to a URL of your choice. Enter the URL of the appropriate collection page on your new website.

ShopMagic, thanks very much for this ‘most logic’ answer/solution. I became ‘confused’ after a discussion with the helpdesk…:frowning: The Q came up because of the registration of the domain. I transferred the three specific domains to Shopify long time ago. So, they are ‘hosted’ now by Shopify??? Do I have to ‘re-connect’ them or am I still able to set the forward info direct into my (Network Solution and Go Daddy) account??

@57PLUS Domain registration and website hosting are separate. You can use the same provider for both, but it sounds like your websites are hosted by Shopify, and you pay Network Solutions and GoDaddy for registration/renewal of the domains? Your domain registrar is where you manage domain forwarding, nameservers etc. You can point your domains wherever you choose, they are not permanently tied to the Shopify websites they currently point to. Once you’ve directed your domains to your new website, you can cancel your old Shopify subscriptions assuming you don’t need those websites anymore.

Hello ShopMagic, I wish I understood this all however, O do not… The domains I am talking about are hosted and administrated by Shopify. One came from Homestead, one came from Network Solutions and one came from Go Daddy. Homestead and Network Solutions have no possibility for forwarding. Both providers are only email providers, because Shopify does not that service. Who do I need to talk to or reach for forwarding both domains to the new URL’s for the Main Store…?
