How can I modify my search bar to be larger and more noticeable?

Hi!

I have been trying to change my search bar for a while but to no avail. I’d like to make it take up more space and be easier to identify. I’ve attached an image so you can get the gist.

I’m stumped! I’ve looked through header.liquid and component-search.css making slight changes but I can’t figure it out. I know that my current search bar consists of an SVG which responds to being clicked, would I have to create a div container for the SVG to be able to give the container a border and some template text?
