I recently introduced new customer accounts to my headless shop. Now I have the problem that when I click on an order in the account and from there click on “order again” I am redirected to my default shopify theme which I am not using. How can I change the link of this button or just disable it?
Thanks for your help.
Topic summary
Issue: After enabling Shopify’s new customer accounts in a headless storefront, the “Order again” button on an order detail page redirects to the shop’s default Shopify theme (which isn’t used). The user wants to change that button’s destination to their headless frontend or disable it entirely.
Context: The order page is served on a Shopify-hosted account URL (shopify.com/…/account/orders/…), and a screenshot was shared to illustrate the exact page. The setup is headless, meaning the storefront is decoupled from the Shopify theme layer.
Questions raised:
- Can the “Order again” link be customized (change URL) or turned off?
- If a custom domain is set for the account pages, does that allow customization?
- Where would such customization happen (theme editor or another area)?
Status: No answers or solutions yet. Key uncertainty remains around customization options for new customer accounts and the “Order again” behavior in a headless setup.
Hello, this is a screenshot of the page:
here is the url: https://shopify.com/67453157631/account/orders/5590770680063
If I set up a domain there, will I be able to customize the page? And if yes, where? in my theme editor?
Thank you a lot for your help.
