I am looking to either be able to move part of the product description above the product-form or be able to have a custom field that will automatically put it above the price. Below is an example of how I would like it to look vs how it currently looks vs how it looks on the current page.

Unfortunately, there is no simple solution for this. It would need customization to implement this feature.

Thanks for the feedback! I have actually figured out a very simple solution. I used metafields to insert the snip it needed above my product template!
I am a complete newbie. I want to move my description box from under the photos to next to them above the price. Can you explain how you moved yours?
