I sell customizable skateboards in my store.
The issue I’m having is I’d like to offer discounts on multiples of the SAME DESIGN that the custom ordered.
But every time I attempt to make this work, I end up making a discount that works for multiple different designs.
For example.
I’d like for a customer to get 2 skateboards of the same design for 25% off.
but
Anytime I try to set this up, they are able to get 2 skateboards with different designs for 25% off.
I cannot afford this because setting up new designs costs me money, while repeating designs is affordable for me.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

@evanfitz80 , I’m assuming when you say “Same design”, you mean same variant.
You should be able to set this up exactly using our app, Discount Bot.
Just make sure you select the following checkboxes:
- Apply minimum requirement to each cart line item - This ensures the minimum requirement is checked for each variant separately like you needed
- Limit discount to whole sets - This ensures that if the customer adds a 3rd item of the same variant, only 2 of the variants get the discount (the 3rd item doesn’t get the discount)

On the cart, when you have a mix of variants, only the variants with quantity 2 get the discount:

How many skateboard designs do you currently have? If you have a limited number of designs, I recommend separating them into different variants and applying quantity break discounts to each specific variant. This ensures customers can only get discounts when ordering multiples of the same design.
