We ship all of our items via free shipping. I would also like to add the option for a certain brand to have free shipping and fixed rates for UPS. Is this possible for just one brand and not all of my products?
If so can someone please explain how I can accomplish for said brand.

This can be achieved via shipping profiles. You can create three shipping profiles for your scenario:
Shipping profile 1: other brand products> free shipping
Shipping profile 2: certain brand products> free shipping
Shipping profile 3: certain brand products> fix rates for UPS
This is easily possible within Shopify until your customers choose products from only one shipping profile. When products are added from multiple shipping profiles it can lead to combined rates t the checkout. However, you can look for some workarounds to resolve this.
