Hi. When I add a Free Shipping rate and add all of my shops products, it then removes each rate I had set for individual items. How can I add free shipping but not change the rates if the customer’s order is less than the free shipping threshold ($200)

Hi. Initially I added a shipping rate and added all of my products and added the rate if the amount was greater than $200. That then removed all of the products that had their own shipping rate. To hopefully fix the problem I am adding a new rate for each shipping rate which gives free shipping over $200 for those items. Again, each time I add a new category/shipping rate it removes items from the 'free shipping over $200 ’ category. Your help appreciated. Thank you.
