How can I offer multiple payment methods for my international drop shipping store?

I have an online drop shipping store and I want costumers to purchase product by more than one payment method like visa or master cards.

Is there a way that can work with me as I selling internationally.

Hey @ameenada .

Thanks for getting in touch, I would be more than happy to help you with your question.

Adding alternative payment options is always a great idea as this opens your store up to even more customers and also gives your customers more choice! My first question to you would be where are you located? Depending on your region, there would be a couple of different payment providers available to you from this link here. Simply choose your region and country, and you will be provided with different payment providers you can add to your store. If you are eligible, Shopify Payments gives a great checkout experience for your customers, it offers them the ability to pay by credit card, use Google and Apple Pay. When it’s enabled you don’t pay any transaction fees, which will save you money! Learn more about Shopify Payments here.

Also, worth a mention is PayPal which is quite popular among our merchants. PayPal also offers you sellers protection dependent on your eligibility. Seller Protection protects you from chargebacks, reversals, and claims for the full amount on eligible payments due to an unauthorized transaction or an item not received. You can learn how to set up PayPal on your store here.

We also have an option to allow your customers to pay for their orders online using something other than a credit card. For example, crypto payments. This is called an alternative payment method, this can be simply set up within your admin and externally via an account with the alternative provider. Check out our help doc on this exact topic here at this link!

Finally, manual payment methods are popular among buyers. Check out some information about those here. Common types of manual payment methods would be cash on delivery, bank transfers and money orders. This gives your customers more choice in not having to pay via their credit card.

I know you are really busy, but I just wanted to also check, have you heard of Shopify Learn courses? Shopify Learn offers free online courses to help your business, you can sign up here at this link. Once you are signed up, you can access a wealth of information to help you and your business to succeed. I understand that this is a lot of information, so if anything needs clarifying, please do let me know. Have an awesome day!

Hello Maz

I truly appreciate the time you spent answering my question. I already had a look on adding new payment method and I added paymentwall app to my shop, but it did not work because, as they clarified, I am dropshipping products.

Also, shopify payments are not working in my region, its worth mentioning that I live in United Arab Emirates but I am selling world wide, focusing on USA market.

Is there a way to solve this issue ?

Hey @ameenada .

It was my pleasure to help, although I am not sure what the blocker is here for you. From what I gather, you have tried using paymentwall as your provider however you have been refused due to the fact that you are a drop shipper, is that correct? Any additional information you can provide would be most helpful! Have you tried implementing any of the other payment providers on that list? There are a couple of options as per my screenshot below. In regard to what they accept and if you are eligible to use them, the payment provider’s support would be the best to help with that.

Once you have your gateway set up, you can then target your marketing efforts towards the USA and reach the market you want. Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Hello,

If you have a Stripe account, with this https://lnkd.in/diJN5YcB solution you can accept payments with all payment methods supported by your Stripe account and it also supports multi-currency.
