What are ways I can help prepare my store for high traffic and also be able to maintain high traffic without any freezing, lag, bugs..etc

The first step towards having a fast Shopify site is theme selection. What theme are you using?

The second thing to take into account is your app selection, and how those impact your site performance. Having a ton of third party apps can totally tank your site speed, but it depends on the quantity/combination of apps you are using. At this stage, also analyze Google Tag Manager implementation, and make sure that your third party scripts are loaded efficiently. Many store owners neglect to analyze script impact and overload their site as a result.

The last thing that I do is run performance testing software and implement script timing functions to determine where excessive file sizes and slow scripts are impacting a site from performing as well as it should. From there, I look to make gains by reworking scripts, imagery, videos, and other assets.
