This issue has popped back up for us in a big way. Normal crawl requests to our Japan subdomain is about 2k-3k per day. This past Sunday 4/16 that spiked up to over 150k and they are all these exact links. Is there any update on what is going on from Shopify? Thanks. @gregbernhardt

I was contacting their support, all they know is to let me resubmit the sitemap and they insist claim that there’s all green lights from their end and no issue has been found. Just to let All of you know about my finding today.

Yes, that is exactly the link that caused the indexation. So it is still internally linked, but not visable in the frontend. Google still sees those links. They are just set to noindex, so that Google won’t index these pages. They are still available for Google and will be as long as they exist, Goo…
