How can I preview a custom gift card layout before publishing?

I am creating a custom gift card layout for a client and I have no idea how to preview it before publishing my changes to the live theme.

Here are the steps to preview your gift card image:

  • Login to your Shopify admin and click on Settings > Notifications

  • Click on the “Gift card created” template and then click on the three dots to either send a test email or see a preview

@Tira Can somebody please explain why your solution is marked as accepted? It does not solve the problem that was asked – how to preview the gift__card.liquid template. You gave instructions on how to preview the Gift Card email template. Not the same thing.

Can we get an update on how to correctly preview this template, or can somebody please confirm that it is currently not possible?

From the admin panel: Online Store → Themes → Customize

There is a dropdown box at the top of the window, it defaults to Home Page. Open that and search for Gift Card
