Need to print the exchange rate or CAD equivalent on Order Printer invoices for orders placed in USD while the store’s default currency is CAD.
Data available: The order timeline shows the exchange rate (e.g., 1 CAD = 0.776476 USD) and both CAD and USD amounts.
Proposed solution: Shopify Support can modify Order Printer templates to display amounts in the shop’s currency (CAD) instead of the customer’s currency.
Process required: Create an authenticated support ticket by logging into the Shopify Help Center. The change will use at least 15 minutes of the store’s included 60 minutes of design time (Shopify’s allocation for minor theme/app template edits).
Blocker: Support requires the Account Owner to contact them directly to authorize the modification. The requester hasn’t proceeded due to this requirement.
Status: Unresolved. No self-serve method was shared. Next steps are for the Account Owner to open an authenticated ticket with Shopify Support to approve and implement the template changes.
Notes: Order Printer is the app used to generate printable invoices/packing slips; no code snippets or attachments are central to the solution.
My shop’s default currency is CAD. Our shop has the ability to change the currency displayed based on the customer’s locale, so we often get orders in USD. How do I print the exchange rate? Or the CAD equivalent charge? I can see the exchange rate used in the timeline: Balance transaction{“id”=>“txn_3LVIGR2…”, “object”=>“balance_transaction”, “exchange_rate”=>1.28787}

Hello, I got a solution but I haven’t tried it yet. Here is what they said to me:
"Graham here from Shopify support. Thanks for getting in touch, I’ll be helping you out with your question about showing the currency amounts in your local currency of CAD on orders within the Order Printer app.
Our team will be able to take a look at making a change to your order printer templates to show the currency in your shop’s currency instead of the customer’s currency. To do this I’ll ask you to please create a new request on a pre-authenticated ticket so that we know what have the appropriate permissions to make these changes. To create an authenticated ticket, please follow the steps below:
Go to the login page of the Shopify help centre.

Select your account and the store you would like to discuss.
Proceed with reaching out to support as normal. The changes, if possible will use at least 15 minutes of your included 60 minutes of design time which is used for making changes like this to your store."
