Topic summary
Store owner reports their Shopify store was closed in error, asserts no policy violations, and requests expedited restoration due to revenue impact. They offer to provide any needed information to verify compliance.
Shopify community support replies that the business was deemed not a good fit for the platform. Community support cannot reverse the decision and directs the merchant to reply to the closure email for any review.
Decisions are generally final and are handled by the Trust & Safety team (the group responsible for policy compliance and platform risk). Reactivation is uncertain.
Recommended next steps:
- Reply directly to the closure notification email.
- Engage with Trust & Safety and provide any compliance documentation requested.
- Consider migrating to another hosting platform while awaiting a decision.
Status: Unresolved; outcome pending Trust & Safety review.
Hi @carstikon
Thank you for sharing that information with us here. I am sorry to hear that your business was deemed not a good fit for the Shopify platform.
This is not something that our community support team is able to assist with. In these situations you will need to reply back to the email you received about this to make this request. Generally speaking, these decisions are final, but this is handled by a team separate from my own. I do recommend looking at moving your business to a new hosting platform while you communicate with our Trust and Safety to see if we can reactivate your Shopify store.
