How can I quickly convert collections into products?

Hi Guys

I have spent ages adding collections to my clients store and it turns out these should be products not collections, is there a quick way of converting them, from a collection to a product?

Hi, @jamindavies !

Iā€™m afraid there is no way to switch collections into products quickly from within the admin section. One way you can quickly add products is via CSV file upload though, this may be a good option for you! With CSV files, you have all the data of your product laid out in a spreadsheet. You can fill in the spreadsheet with product details, then import the spreadsheet into the Shopify admin. This will populate the product section with your work.

Can I ask what kind of products the client is selling? Just to see if I can find any workarounds for you!

Thanks for the info, is there a way I can export all the collections with all its data to a spreadsheet?

The products are small apple trees with 2 buying options.

Happy to help! At the moment, it is not possible to export collections directly in the admin, but you can do it with the help of an app! This app called Collection Import/Export & SEO would be well worth looking into. It will also offer you some extra functionality like allowing you to create smart collections for all your vendors and product types!

Can I ask how many products you have to create at the moment?
