How can I reach a real customer support agent at Shopify?

I need assistance with how to contact shopify customer support. A REAL AGENT.

I have another store that I cannot access because I don’t have access to the email anymore and I am getting billed for it when it should have been deactivated months ago. I need to request a refund for the payments Shopify has taken and I need to contact someone.

You can contact our support team through this page. When you visit that page you’ll want to type your question or issue to the AI assistant in the chat box that appears there. The AI assistant can help you with the next steps to get in contact with the right team from there.

Hello Erin. Not the OP. The AI assistant provided me with a link, https://help.shopify.com/selected-shop, and it does not work. I’ve tried it from a variety of browsers and devices. I cannot get in touch with anyone. All I want is to remove my private mailing address from Shopify’s direct mailing list. This is a privacy concern. Neither my husband nor myself have ever worked with Shopify (until now, when I was forced to create an account and a pretend shop just so I could try to get my private information removed). I need help. Please help me.

If you’re having trouble getting through the Help Center our social media support team would be able to help you with this request. If you message us over Facebook or X (formerly Twitter) with the following information we can request for you to be opted out of direct mail. I’ve also shared this feedback about the Help Center with my team to prevent issues like this in the future.

  • Full address
  • Company name (if available)
  • Screenshot of the mailer that was received (if available)

Since you created an account to try and get through the Help Centre, I’d also recommend making sure you close it down if you don’t plan on using it going forward. You can follow these steps to close the account.
