How can I receive notifications for blog comments?

anyone know how to get blog comments to send a notification? seems like this should exist, it is so basic for a blog to have this.

seems like there used to be some apps, but none are active any longer.

I’m looking for the same thing. I just found a bunch of old comments I didn’t even know I had. And the only way to respond to a comment is through my actual site, just like a customer? Is that true? So awkward and weird.

Hi! I just released an app for email notifications, comment replies, blog ratings, etc. for Shopify.

It’s 2025, and there’s still no way I can enable email notifications for blog comments. After considering options like 1) complaining again to Shopify; 2) building an AI agent to notify me; 3) doing nothing except checking the blog comments manually more often, I have found this app that does it for free: https://apps.shopify.com/eagle Just started using it on my blog so will report back how it works!
