From what you’re describing, it sounds like your domain has expired. Depending on how long it’s been since payment was due, you may be able to contact us and we can assist you with renewing it. If it has been too long since the missed payment, it would’ve been deleted from the registry. Your domain might be available to buy again through Shopify or from a third-party domain provider, but there is no guarantee that it will be available. You can check out this help document for more information on renewing an expired domain.
To get in touch with us and determine whether you can renew your domain, head over to the Help Center and enter the details of your issue into the chat assistant. You’ll either be prompted to speak with a Support Advisor, or you can select I still need help to be connected. From there we’ll be able to look up the domain in our system and review the options with you.
