Does anyone know how to decrease the width of the mobile sidebar? I’ve attached a screenshot showing how wide it is. I’d like it to be 50% current width. but font size should stay the same.

It depends on the theme, one might help if you can tell which theme are you using and is it modified or not.
Probably it has a fixed width in pixels unit. You can set it to percentage unit with 50 value. But it would be too narrow on mobile that way. So you should probably give it a min-width of 50 percent.
