Hi I hope I’m not in the wrong discussion panel. I’ve had two designers work on my site and one of them put a floating gray rectangle behind some text to make it pop out, but it doesn’t look right on PCs. It looks fine on mobile, but I just want to remove it.
Any advice is appreciated,because the designer is no longer available.
The theme is Ella
The site is ■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
You will see the gray rectangle as soon as the site loads behind the words everything you need to make perfect sushi anytime you crave it.
Thank you
Hi @Papaya_peeps ,
This is Victor from PageFly - Landing page builder, I’d like to suggest this idea:
Step 1: Go to Online Store->Theme->Edit code
Step 2: Asset->/theme-styles-responsive.scss.css->paste below code at the bottom of the file:
.animate-scale:before {
background-color: unset !important;
}
Hope my answer will help you.
Best regards,
Victor | PageFly
Thank you Victor, but apparently, I don’t have a .css file by that name. I got a message that sounded like I need to update something in the code. Not sure if that makes any sense.
You can try another way:
Step 1. Go to Online Store → Theme → Edit code
Step 2. Open your theme.liquid theme file
Step 3. Paste below code before :
Unfortunately it didn’t work, but thank you again. I have no idea what he did…
@Papaya_peeps ,Please reload the page and check again. I see the gray rectangle has disappeared when viewed on my computer
Strange. I cleared my cache (chrome), still see it, opened a different browser ( edge) and its still there. It has to be something on my end if you’re not seeing it.
As you can see this is my screen(attached). You can try again or change to another device so you can test
Hi Victor,
I just got a chance to see your video and I’m so relieved,because I thought I was going crazy. I’m not sure what grey rectangle you thought I meant, but the grey rectangle that I was talking about is in your video still. It’s directly behind the tag line “everything you need to make perfect sushi anytime you crave it.”
Sorry for misunderstanding. That’s because your image originally had a gray rectangle. You can replace 1 photo to delete it
