How can I remove a GitHub account from a Shopify account?

A GitHub account from an employee who no longer works for us is connected to our Shopify account.

Because the GitHub integration does not support multiple accounts see: https://community.shopify.com/topic/1480461

I would need to remove this account from Shopify. I do not have access to the GitHub account to uninstall the app.

There should be a way to remove a GitHub account from the Shopify account. This is a blocker for our integration at the moment!

I want to clarify that this is a show-stopper problem.

Without the ability to remove a GitHub account from Shopify’s end, and without the ability to add a 2nd GitHub account, I am unable to deploy my code, thus unable to support my clients.

I tried:

  • Contacting the GitHub account owner
    • No response
  • Adding our organization’s account as a 2nd account
    • Installing the Shopify app fails at the time of redirection

I was able to connect multiple Github accounts using different user profiles on my own Shopify store, but our developers recommended using this link to fully logout of the integration and try going back through the connection flow again as a next step in troubleshooting.

We can’t provide authenticated support on the forums, but if the redirection issues persist when trying to connect with the Shopify Online Store sales channel’s Github Integration I would recommend reaching out to Shopify support directly and referencing this post along with all troubleshooting steps completed so far.
