How can I remove a theme-coded menu from my ecommerce site?

Topic summary

  • Issue: A merchant wants to remove a left-side “ALL PRODUCTS” dropdown menu that appears hard-coded, as its collections don’t match those in Shopify. They prefer using Shopify’s native navigation and mention non-existent pages redirect to the homepage.

  • Key finding: The menu is not theme-coded; it’s added by the third-party app “qikify Smart Menu (Mega Menu).”

  • Implication: Menu items and behavior are controlled via the app rather than Shopify’s default navigation settings.

  • Suggested action: Contact qikify (app support) to edit or disable the menu, or turn off/uninstall the app to revert to Shopify’s built-in navigation.

  • Status: No resolution confirmed. Specific theme code removal steps weren’t provided, and the 404-to-homepage redirect issue remains unaddressed. A screenshot was provided but not essential to the solution.

Hello,

I’ve been trying to remove the menu that looks to have been coded into our theme. The collections that are shown in the menu do not match the collections that are made within our Shopify account. At the moment when you go to a page that no longer exists, it redirects back to the home page. I would like to be able to use the pre-designed menu navigation that Shopify has provided its users; I just don’t know what code to remove or where to look. Our website is www.horsetackco.com and it’s the dropdown menu on the left under ALL PRODUCTS.

Hi @PerpetualEquest ,

I checked and menu added by ‘qikify Smart Menu Mega Menu’ app. Refer https://apps.shopify.com/smart-menu

So if you want to edit or turn it off, you just need to contact the app, they will help you change it quickly.
