Hi, @JSJ650 .
Thank you for reaching out and posting this question!
You can remove the original announcement bar by clicking Remove block, which is located within the block/section itself. Simply click into the announcement that you want to remove, as if you’re editing it, and then scroll down to find the removal button.
I noticed that you’re a new member of our Shopify Community! Once you’ve resolved this issue with the announcement bar, I’d love to hear more about your business and share some resources to help you get started. What kinds of products are you selling? Do you have a marketing plan prepared for your store?

Hi, @JSJ650 .
Thank you for following up and sharing the screenshot.
It looks like you’re using the Brooklyn theme, which is one of our vintage themes, and I’m glad to see that you were able to resolve the issue using the suggestions shared by the community. While the instructions I’ve shared doesn’t apply to the Brooklyn theme, it does apply to all of our current line of themes (eg. Online Store 2.0 themes). So, if you ever decide to switch or upgrade your theme, then you will be able to find the same functions for future reference.
