This solution replacing:
{{ product.url | within: collection }}
with
{{ product.url }}
didn’t unfortunately work for me. It still shows slug like this: www.petoya.sk/collections/food/products/product-name
Can anyone help please?

Hi @Petoya ,
Whenever we create a page or blog-post at the bottom of the page Shopify allow us to change URL for SEO purpose
But “The resource makers like /pages, /collections, etc. can’t be removed.”
You have to change it in your collection list template ![]()
https://petoya.sk/collections/granule-pre-psov
After you do that the old versions will still exist but there will be no links to them
how does one get this done can you assist
Just setup a redirect , e.g. /about-us to point to /pages/about-us
So for sharing urls customers or campaigns etc can use the shorter version. e.g. /about-us
Customers don’t care what the final url is as long as they can find the content which is what matters not some overly time wasting need to make urls shorter.
Trying to get fancier than that is either kludgy hacks with underlying problems, or going headless and taking over full responsibility for hosting just to control entire URL structure which means money $$$$ ; etc etc etc.
Just use redirects and move on when there isn’t serious money (when you have to even ask or join questions like this that’s a big fat clue you could just be wasting time on unnecessary complexity)
