How can I remove myself from a store without admin access?

Hey guys,

Is there a way to remove yourself from a store when you are NOT an admin. I find it ridiculous that you need to contact the owner to get removed. I have a couple stores I am on and I haven’t heard back from owners on removing me… You should be able to remove yourself when you no longer work on the business.

The only workaround seems to give another email address to exclude some stores from your Shopify ID. “To exclude XXXXX from your Shopify ID, change the email address you use to log in to this store”

Update: looks like you can now remove yourself! (You still can’t remove yourself from a store when your access has been deactivated though… so you keep seeing it in your list of stores with no possibility of doing anything with it!)

Remove your own staff member account

  1. Log in to the Shopify store.

  2. From your Shopify admin, click Settings, and then click Plan and permissions.

  3. In the Staff section, click your name.

  4. From your staff details page, click Remove my staff access.

  5. On the confirmation dialog, click Remove.
