I am trying to set up my first online store and thought I had everything just the way I wanted it and then all of the sudden I am getting this white padding on all of my product images!! I chatted with support today and it was suggested that I crop all of my image … I took 3 hours of my afternoon to crop each image and save and when I checked later the padding is back!! This is a preview of what it looks like.
I would so much appreciate any help that can be offered.

Hi @KM35 I checked on your page and found that the root of the issue is not about theme padding
But it is about the source of the image you have uploaded already has those white space on the image
This is what the source look like :
Please upload the images without the white space to get this solve.
Thank you
Thank you for looking into this for me. When I uploaded the images they don’t/didn’t have the white padding on them. None of my images do. It was when I uploaded them to Shopify that the padding appeared.
I just removed all the images from two of my listings and uploaded them again and here is the result.
Yes, i think the reason was the image uploader on Shopify has cropped your image
The only solution for this is to re-upload the images as you did to 2 product listings.
Thank you for your patience
Thanks for helping me, but Im still struggling. I spent a considerable amount of time with a Shopify assistant the other evening. We finally came to the conclusion that my photos weren’t the proper size for Shopify and this seemed to be the problem.
I have now used the Shopify Online Image Resizer to resize all my images. They initially uploaded and looked great but after some time the padding reappears. I’m honestly at a totally loss right now. I’m so happy with everything else about my store, but the padding looks terrible and I feel that it will effect my sales.
You can see the image size is the recommended shopify image size, but the padding is present. What am I missing here?
Can you send me your image file? let me try to upload it in my store and see if the problem occur and I can fix that
@KM35 Thank you
please help me add this code to your theme.liquid file above the
Hope this can help you solve the issue
