How can I remove the Date, new to old option and Date, old to new from my collection sort options?

Hi, nice to meet you. I am a Senior Shopify Developer with 6 years of experience.

To remove the “Date, new to old” and “Date, old to new” options from your collection sort options in the Empire 11.1.0 theme, you will need to modify the theme code.

Identify the sorting options for “Date, new to old” and “Date, old to new” and remove those lines of code.

You should remove the following lines:

Date, new to old Date, old to new

Check this one.

From your Shopify admin dashboard, click on “Online Store” and then “Themes”.

Find the theme that you want to edit and click on “Actions” and then “Edit code”.

In the “Assets” folder, click on “base.css, style.css or theme.css” file, depending on which file your theme uses to store its CSS styles. At the bottom of the file, add the following CSS code:

#product_grid_sort > option:nth-child(8), #product_grid_sort > option:nth-child(7) {
    display: none;
}

And Save.
