How can I remove the search icon on the sense theme?

Hello everyone! I am in the beginning stages of designing my store and would like to remove the search icon from the header of my store. I understand the only way to change that is to alter the code / liquid. I am very hesitant as I know changing that incorrectly can negatively effect my store. Does anyone have a 100% functional code I can plug in to remove the search icon? Thank you in advance!
