How can I remove the white bar from my slideshow in debut theme?

Hi,

I’m using debut theme for my website and have included a slideshow but there is a white bar appearing on top of my pictures which looks messy.

I’m not too fussed about the small dots and arrows but I would like it to have a transparent background. Someone help please.
