How can I remove unwanted text from my featured collection?

Topic summary

A Shopify store owner encountered unwanted text appearing at the bottom of a featured collection and sought help removing it.

Initial Troubleshooting Attempts:

  • First suggestion: Edit default theme content via Online Store > Themes, but this didn’t resolve the issue
  • Second suggestion: Use Shopify’s Localize feature to check market translations, but the user didn’t have this option
  • Third suggestion: Add custom CSS code to base.css/style.css to hide the element with opacity: 0

Successful Solution:
The issue was resolved by editing the theme’s liquid file directly:

  • Navigate to Online Store > Themes > Actions > Edit code
  • Open the ā€œtheme.liquidā€ file in the Layout folder
  • Locate the <body...> line and insert custom code on a new line after it
  • Save changes

The user confirmed this final approach worked successfully.

  • In the ā€œAssetsā€ folder, click on ā€œbase.css, style.css or theme.cssā€ file, depending on which file your theme uses to store its CSS styles. At the bottom of the file, add the following CSS code:

Unfortunately I do not have a ā€˜localize’ option

So please try add text of heading of that section in your Online store > Themes > Customize
