Are you still looking to actively use your Shopify store?
If you aren’t looking to continue using your Shopify store, then closing it will result in our systems being unable to renew your domain as we wouldn’t be able to bill an inactive account. If you’re looking to renew the domain without using the Shopify platform, I would highly recommend transferring your domain away from Shopify and onto a new provider.
However, you can reach out to our Support team who would be able to gain access to your store and help renew or guide you through transferring the domain away from Shopify (if that is best suited for you).
