How can I reorder payment options on the checkout page?

Hi, does anyone know if you’re able to reorder and/or edit the payment options displayed at checkout?

I received feedback from customers saying they were confused by express checkout options so turned on the option to display other payment options (amex, visa, MetaPay, etc.). I would like to reorder them so that the most commonly used are shown first. Does anyone know if this is possible and if so where I would be able to make this change?

Only the shopify plus can edit the payment page.

Now you can achieve this without Shopify plus, with an app like the Kip: Customize Payment Methods app, which let’s you reorder the payment methods in your checkout, and add conditions if necessary.

After you enter the app, select the “create reorder rule”:

Then when creating the rule, enter the methods that you want to reorder:

Drag and drop the methods to the position that you need.

After that, if you want you can set conditions for this reordering to be applied. Then you save the rule, and it’s done!

Hi @ChandlerT

You can do this using the Vista Payment Customization Rules app.

All you need to do is a 2-step process.

  • Choose a condition: it can be “Always” or any other other conditions

  • Add all payment methods and drag them to reorder.

Thats it.
