Hello,

For some selected products, I would like to change the “Add to Cart” button with a “Request a Quote” button. Once a customer clicks on the “Request a Quote” ,they will be prompt to provide their email address, phone number, shipping address, and any further notes they might want to add to customize their order. Once they send the request, this automatically gets saved as a Draft order in Shopify. I can then update evaluate their request, adjust the shipping rate and send them an email to confirm the order and accept payment.

I would like to know whether it’s possible to achieve this via Shopify’s already existing functionalities, or eventually which app will allow me to perform such a workflow.

Yes, this workflow is definitely possible, but Shopify doesn’t support it natively. The default system only allows you to create draft orders manually, so replacing “Add to Cart” with a quote flow requires an app.
What you’re describing can be done with a Shopify Request a Quote app, which is built exactly for your use case.
