I need to remove the Buy and Add-to-cart options for some of the products and instead put a “Contact us to Buy” option on the product page, which will when clicked, open the customer’s local email client with our store email address automatically filled in. I’m trying to achieve this by creating a new custom template and assigning it to the required products.
Right now, I’ve been trying this on a free theme (Dawn) from shopify. This is the tutorial I’m following: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/online-store/themes/themes-by-shopify/vintage-themes/customizing-vintage-themes/replace-add-to-cart
Now, the problem is I’m not able to do it successfully on the theme because it doesn’t have the exact files mentioned in the tutorial or there are some differences in the code inside the files. Can someone please have a look at this and let me know if there’s another option or a more recent solution that works on newer themes?
Note: Will be doing this on the Canopy theme once we have purchased it. For now, testing on Dawn.
