I am using Bluehost as a domain provider, I want to connect my domain to spotify, altough I’m not able to add the required CNAME given on this page : shops.myshopify.com.
Anytime I am trying to add it to my cname record, it keeps not working (see attached picture with the red message). Should I add something else, like my actual domain name at the end ? The A records is pointing to 23.227.38.65 so this should be good.
When pointing your domain to Shopify, you’ll need to point the A Record to 23.227.38.65. Replace the host namehost with the symbol [email removed] (if necessary.) Remove all other A records on the domain and CNAME record with the name www to shops.myshopify.com.
If you’re still receiving error messages on your end, I recommend contacting Bluehost directly to assist you with adjusting your DNS records. This is because we do not have access to your third-party domain DNS settings.
I finally figured this out for myself today on Bluehost. In the domain details, click Manage next to Advanced DNS Records. If you go to bulk edit your CNAME records, it will give the ability to add to the fields as needed.
