How can I resolve duplicate content issues for better SEO?

Hi,

How can I fix duplicate content pages on our website so that it doesnt affect our seo and google rankings?

@Jul72 Dealing with duplicate content is to use the Rel=“canonical” This tells search engines that a given page should be treated as though it were a copy of a specified URL

Hi @Jul72 ,

The appropriate solution to the duplicate content issue is to add the canonical tag to your website’s head tag.

For this you need to perform the below steps:

  1. Navigate to Online Store > Themes > Actions.
  2. DUPLICATE the current Theme so that in case anything goes wrong you can make the duplicate theme live.
  3. Select edit code and open theme.liquid file.
  4. just before the closing head tag ( ) line paste the below code as shown in the image below:
